So Rajah just got a brand new custom license plate!

I had been wanting to do this for a long time, but never had a chance to make it to the tag agency for the application but I finally went ahead and did it. It was actually a very easy process at the tag agency. Since I am in Florida, this is what the process was like for my state.

For a custom plate (the actual letters/numbers combination), you will have to go to the tag agency to get set up. You can check and see what combinations are available online, and be prepared so when you get to the tag agency, you have a quick and easy transaction. In Florida, they charge $28 one-time fee for the first set up of your personalized license plate, and an additional $15 per year that gets added on to the cost of registration.

Unfortunately, RAJAH was taken, so I had to sacrifice an A for the number 4. It still came out great though, and I could not be any happier with it!

I also chose a specialty license plate (this is for the design) for Rajah as well mostly because the color of the "Endless Summer" plate matches, but specialty tags also have a deeper purpose. The purpose of specialty license plates is to raise funds for a particular cause. Each of the specialty license plates require an annual use fee for the use of the special design license plate. For the "Endless Summer" plate, the extra charge is $25 per year that goes to Surfing's Evolution and Preservation Foundation, Inc.

I love the specialty tags especially for the truly moving causes like cancer. If someone on the road is passionate about donating for a cause, like cancer, you can tell and you'll know that plate is a little reminder to them of someone they may have lost or something they have personally dealt with.

You can see all the Florida specialty license plates here as well as their annual cost and causes.

Does your Jeep have a custom license plate? What inspired it?
