Every year, the pre-Jeep Beach races happen and many companies have huge sales and events to promote their products while everyone is trying to get “Jeep Beach ready”.
Luckily for us in South Florida, Morris 4×4 hosts an annual pre-Jeep Beach event at their store. It is such a big event that it’s almost like a mini Jeep Beach! Representatives from major companies like Poison Spyder, RIPP Superchargers, Factor 55, and more come to this show to advertise their products and speak with Jeepers.
It’s like a mini-Jeep Beach considering the caliber of the companies that come to showcase at this event. Tons of raffles are done, and a competitive show and shine competition is the highlight of the day. South Florida’s very own 99.9 Kiss Country DJ’d and emceed the event, as they usually do each year.
This year, the Jeep Girls of Florida club had the honor of judging the Show & Shine competition at the event. I didn’t know how a show and shine competition works until this show. It consists of a checklist for each class. At this particular show, they had a class for each of the following: CJ/YJ, TJ, JK/JL, Adventure class, and Extreme class. Each checklist has its own qualifications for that class and can include items such as “front and rear bumpers matching” or “good paint job” in the CJ/YJ class, among many other items.
It was a great experience to judge the Show and Shine competition, and the Jeep Girls of Florida had a great time announcing the winners and handing out trophies. Some even drove down from the central Florida area to attend the event.
Morris 4×4 also had many sales going on this day, which is great for Jeepers looking to save some cash. They also had a tent by Brandon’s Auto Repair, where attendees were encouraged to ask any technical questions they might have regarding their rigs.
The Morris show is a great event to attend and get hyped up for Jeep Beach! Or even if you can’t make Jeep Beach, the Morris show is a nice way to get your dose of Jeep show for April.
