As many of you may know, Henri Bendel announced that they will be closing the brand in January 2019 due to declining sales. The brand plans to shut down all 23 stores, including the iconic N.Y.C. Fifth Avenue flagship.
Henri. Bendel. Is. Iconic.
Henri Bendel opened the first luxury store with an “upper Fifth Avenue address” and the first to stage a fashion show in New York City. This brand’s signature black and white stripes have been a staple to every girl’s bag collection for 123 years. Lucky for us, there is a Henri Bendel store here in Miami.
Henri Bendel’s major sale will begin December 26th, 2018—the day after Christmas. In fear that the iconic “Jetsetter” Henri Bendel backpack would be out of stock by that time, my sister Vicky and I went on a quest to make the final Henri Bendel haul.
To be completely honest, I have never owned anything Henri Bendel before, but this was the perfect opportunity to get my hands on some items that may one day be considered vintage!
My sister and I have been lugging around the same Kate Spade wallet for the past four years, and it was time for a wallet change. This was the perfect excuse to walk into Henri Bendel with the small intention for a wallet, and walk out with a legit HAUL of Henri.
We each came in for ONE wallet, but we each left with a Jetsetter backpack, a wallet, a card holder wallet, and a fanny pack (the Henri Bendel brand calls them belt bags). Typical female-style shopping of course—zero self-control.
I picked out the dark gray Jetsetter mini backpack, and my sister picked the oxblood color. I also bought the color blocked wallet in navy blue, and the iconic striped card holder. My sister picked out everything in oxblood, so she is all matching on her accessories. We are both obsessed over our purchases.
Oh, almost forgot to mention—we each bought a scarf too to accessorize our Jetsetter bags. Talk about a haul, right?
