The reason we came to Moab in the first place is to celebrate Vicky and Niko’s wedding. Saturday was the wedding day, and a very relaxing day after traveling so much. We all hung out in the big cabin with seven bedrooms, and chilled all day.
Vicky and Niko had brunch catered in the cabin, which was a nice way to start the day. I took a nap after brunch and then everyone got ready for the wedding. Not much went on in the cabin, but there was no cell service or wifi available, so nobody was on their phone and everyone was talking and hanging out all day. This was a nice change of pace from our usual “connected” lives.
The wedding itself was in the same Whispering Oaks Ranch complex. It was outside, overlooking the beautiful La Sal mountains, and the view was breathtaking. It was a beautiful place to get married. Vicky and Niko had the most adorable vows for each other about adventure and Jeeping.
Since Vicky and Niko have been together for eight years, the tables were were each numbered and accompanied by a photo of them at that year.
The decorations were perfect, and the coaster favors featured a Jeep, of course. Dancing went on all night, with lots of Latin music in the middle of Utah. It was the perfect destination wedding for this adventurous couple.
Sami and I are honored to have been invited and share this day with Vicky and Niko. We would not be in this amazing place if it wasn’t for them!
